Felix came to me rather unexpectedly when I was devasted by the loss of my beloved Capri in February of 2019. I was not looking for another dog because I knew I could never replace my girl, but I knew at some point I would be ready and need to fill that huge void left in my heart after losing her - I just didn't know it would only be a matter of a few months before I would bring another manchester into my home, my heart and my life. I happened to stumble in to a post from Rachel Jonas stating she had a sweet 3 1/2 year old finished boy she was thinking of placing in a loving home, so me being me, contacted her for more information and since she was going to a show in Bloomington, Illinois in May of 2019, I decided to drive down - just to 'look' at him. Well? Long story short, he came home with me. He was just what I didn't realize I needed at that time to help ease the heartbreaking pain from still reeling from my devastating loss of my heart dog, Capri. We made the longish drive home back to central Iowa and he was the best boy during the entire trip. I actually think we bonded during the drive. When we got home, he came into my home as if he'd lived here forever. Felix had the best temperament and was such a love bug as soon he set foot in my door. I can not even begin to thank Rachel enough for allowing Felix to come into my life, my heart and my home where he was ever so loved and 'somewhat' spoiled from day one. Thank you, Rachel, for my "best boy", Felix. He truly was and will always be my "best boy".....I will always cherish every second and the many memories we had and made together.
